Tamil superstar Rajinikanth is busy in his next movie, Kabali, which is highly anticipated by his fans. Since his last two movies were not that successful at the box office, the latest flick is much awaited. The Kabali official poster was released on a micro-blogging site Twitter by Rajinikanth himself.
Reportedly, this movie would be superstar’s 159th movie and according to the director Pa Ranjith (from ‘Madras’ fame!), Rajinikanth will shed his stereotypical image and portray a character of a mob don which is closer to his real age.

To start with, the lead role opposite Rajinikanth is played by the super talented Radhika Apte. She has risen to fame by her bold and natural roles played as smoothly as butter. With a theatrical background and classical and contemporary dance expertise, she has become a revelation and has been highly appreciated by the critics.
With movies in Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Bengali as well as Hindi, she has risen from a stage artist to a fantastic performer in from of cameras. She was highly acclaimed for her roles in Badlapur, Hunterr and Manjhi – The Mountain Man. Although her roles were short, she has been gaining a lot of positive attention.
Anurag Basu’s favorite muse, she has also played strong roles in Bengali cinema, Antaheen being her most prominent one. She is also playing lead roles in a TV series based on Rabindranath Tagore’s stories.
Apart from Radhika Apte, this movie has a bunch of fresh talent from all across the talent pool.
Dhansika, relatively new to mainstream cinema, bagged the role of Kabaliswaran’s daughter. Although she worked mostly with medium budget movies so far, she is roped in for this magnificent movie.
Another newbie, Dinesh Ravi who shot to fame from Attakathi is reportedly playing a part in Kabali movie alongside superstar Rajinikanth himself. He is highly appreciated for his role as Thamizh in Cuckoo which gave him a lot of positive attention. He was even compared to Kamal Haasan for his role. So much so that, it is said that he is going to get a complete makeover for this film. Well, commitment and dedication does pay off!

That’s not it; the entire cast is a powerhouse of raw and new talent.
If the sources are to be believed, Riythvika will be seen as an antagonist in this movie. Although, the makers have kept mum on this piece of news, we are really excited to see the ‘Madras’ fame lady playing an anti-hero!
This is the same Riythvika from Pa Ranjith’s first directorial venture, Madras. It was a political drama set in Chennai. The interesting part of this story is, Ranjith has managed to assemble most of the cast from Madras in Kabali.
The latest inclusion being Nandakumar who played the powerful role of a politician as Kannan in Madras.
